The following men have been nominated as elders of First Church. They represent the best interest of the church and possess the qualifications listed in: 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4 and Acts 20:28-31. Elders serve three-year terms and provide shepherding and leadership for the church. If you have any reason why any of these men don’t possess the biblical qualities necessary for eldership, please submit it in writing to a current elder by June 30.

Jim Allen is married to Nancy for 47 years. Both are graduates of Owasso High School. Jim became a Christian and joined First Church in 1971. Nancy joined FC in 1975. They currently reside east of Owasso. They have two adult children. Their son Dustin and his wife Angel reside in Medicine Park, Oklahoma. Their daughter Rachel and her husband Joel Witten reside in Owasso and attend FC along with their daughter Jane. Jim was a property manager and licensed mechanical contractor in Tulsa for twenty-five years. He recently retired from full time work after almost seven and a half years as a facility maintenance manager and licensed mechanical contractor. Nancy is a homemaker and an avid quilter. At FC, Jim and Nancy are both in a life group, serve as coordinators, and serve in several areas of the Guest Services ministry. In addition, Jim serves as team leader for second service ushers and previously served on the FCC Eldership.

Glenn Martin and his wife Tammy have been married for 38 years and have been members of First Church for 35 years. The Ponca City, OK native has previously served as an elder and has been involved with multiple ministries throughout his years at First Church. The Martins have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Glenn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from OSU and has worked for NORDAM for more than 30 years. In Glenn's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and close friends as well as finding ways to serve others.

Jeff Morris and his wife Candie have been members of First Church since moving to Owasso in 2013. The Morrises have 3 children (Jordan, Erin, & Carlie).  Jeff was an elder from 2018 to 2022. He has also served with the YouthQuake summer camp team for 4 years and is a regularly serving usher. Jeff has worked for Sylvania, a lamp/fixture company in the electrical industry for 25+ years.  Jeff and his wife enjoy being active members of their small group.
