Empty

One statement forever changed the world, "He is not here; he has risen" (Matthew 28:6). At first, the empty tomb worried Jesus' followers. Did someone steal Jesus' body? Had the authorities moved Him? But when Jesus' followers saw Him alive again, they realized the empty tomb was the greatest news of all time. Because the tomb is empty, Jesus has brought life to the world. As the Bible teaches, "He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone" (1 Timothy 2:6). When we surrender our emptiness to Jesus, we give Him something to fill. Because Jesus defeated the grave, He's able to fill us with new and everlasting life.
