We’ll have train rides for children, hot chocolate and cider for all ages, as well as family photo opportunities. It’s going to be a special Christmas Eve at First Church!

We live at a time when many people feel weary. Anxiety is high. Depression is on the rise. Loneliness grows. Fear is increasing. For many people, 2020 has been a weary year. But Jesus came to invade our weariness with hope. As the line from the classic Christmas song declares: “A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices.” The birth of Jesus is a game-changer for the world. In the midst of our stress, worry, and uncertainty, God's promise remains unchanged. Christmas reminds us just how much God loves us, and that He has not forgotten us. Because of Jesus, we can live every day with the thrill of hope.
