What an exciting time in First Church history! Following the pandemic, we have experienced tremendous growth, both in attendance and in engagement. To accommodate and navigate the growth, First Church expanded from having two to three Sunday morning services starting Aug. 6, 2023. The extra service gives us more opportunities to share the gospel and the love of Jesus with others.

FAQ'S

What are the service times?
We offer three, identical onsite and online services at 8:15, 9:45, and 11:15AM.

When is Sunday programming for those in First Years and First Kids?
All three services. We take every opportunity to offer kids engaging teaching from God's Word. Our environment is designed to help kids worship God in community which will happen whatever Sunday service time their families choose to attend.

What about Sunday classes for First Students?
Our Jr. and Sr. High classes meet during the 9:45AM service in their regular locations.

There are lots of classes and groups for adults currently scheduled on Sunday mornings. When do those classes meet?
Classes and groups times on Sunday mornings experienced only a slight shift in their starting times when we expanded from two to three services. All classes and groups meet at either 8:15, 9:45, or 11:15AM. The class/group start times allow for parents to take their children to their age-specific ministries.

I love my beverage and morning snacks from the Café! Will the offerings at the Café change from service to service?
The First Church Café is open for all three services and our friendly Guest Services team members look forward to serving you! Also, Brú at First Church offers a specialty drink menu. Café hours are 7:45AM to 11:30AM each Sunday.

Will the expanded services impact parking?
Expanding to three services better distributes the amount of vehicles parking on our N. Garnett campus Sunday mornings. Three service times help First Church maintain a healthy flow of vehicles parking and leaving throughout the morning.

I enjoy the shuttle service from my vehicle to the doors. Will that service be available during all three services?
You know it! Our Guest Services team has grown to include the friendliest shuttle team. They enjoy greeting you and want to help you before and after any worship service you wish to attend.

Three services seems like a lot more work for First Church. How can I help?
You can help by committing to be 100% engaged. God uses the generosity of His people to resource His mission. We believe we’re not here to waste our time but to “redeem the time” (Ephesians 5:16), so commit to serving one service or one Sunday a month. What about our online service times?
First Church’s live, online broadcasts are at the same time as our onsite services– 8:15, 9:45, and 11:15AM. We also rebroadcast our worship service at 4:30 and 6PM Sunday and 7PM Monday.
